Edinburgh's biggest community singing project is heading back to one of the city's grandest stages. Love Music Choirs will perform their final concert of 2026 at the Usher Hall, with a special collaboration with celebrated Scots singer Robyn Stapleton.

The programme is typically eclectic. Audiences can expect British synth-pop, Irish and Scottish lullabies, a Persian love song, reworked ancient melodies and a tongue-in-cheek adaptation of a noughties boy band hit. The concert lasts around an hour, with no interval, and the organisers promise an evening to smile, shed a tear and bop along to. Tickets are £10, or £7 for concessions.

Love Music is a Scottish charity whose mission is to create and enhance opportunities for people to enjoy the social and personal benefits of music making in their own community. Its participatory projects are open to people of any ability or experience, with the aim of increasing wellbeing, confidence and musical skills. Alongside its community choir, it has run projects such as Sing for Wellbeing and Scotland Sings, schools programmes and an Inspiring Artists Programme, and it uses its experience to help grow the wider community music sector.

Ticket sales support the charity's work providing adventurous, inclusive creative music projects for communities and young people. In keeping with that ethos, tickets are free for under-16s, essential companions and anyone who cannot afford to pay.

The concert is supported by the City of Edinburgh Council, with the Usher Hall as venue partner, and the Love Music Community Choir counts Edinburgh's Lord Provost as its patron.

For many choir members, singing on the Usher Hall stage is a highlight of the year, and the concerts have built a loyal following among friends, families and music lovers across the city. The mix of styles means there is something for everyone, whether you come for the lullabies or the pop.

If the concert leaves you wanting to join in, Love Music's community choir and wellbeing singing projects are the place to start.

Tickets and details of how to join the choir are available on the Love Music website.
