Few television wardrobes are watched as closely as Claudia Winkleman's on The Traitors. So it was a big moment for Edinburgh designer Judy R. Clark when the presenter wore her work not once but twice on the new series of The Celebrity Traitors.

On 9 October, Winkleman appeared in an Ebony Charcoal Knitted Tank and an Ebony Puff Sleeve Knitted Jumper from Clark's ready-to-wear Ebony collection. Both pieces sold out within hours of the episode being shown.

A week later, during the show's round table segment on 15 October, she wore a specially adapted version of Clark's Cream Victorian Lace Shirt from the Lace Noir collection. The shirt features a high ruffled collar, full gathered sleeves and ruffled cuffs, combining Victorian style with a modern feel. It is made in Scotland using Madras lace woven in Ayrshire by MYB Textiles, Scotland's only remaining lace mill and described as the only producer in the world still making patterned lace on original Nottingham lace looms. The shirt is made to order.

Clark said seeing her work worn by Claudia felt like an iconic moment, and praised the presenter's stylist Sinead McKeefry for a wonderful process. She said Claudia has a unique sense of style and confidence that people genuinely connect with, and that it meant a great deal to see lace woven in Scotland on screen, describing it as incredibly special to see Scottish craftsmanship reaching such a huge audience.

Working from her studio in the capital, Clark is known for hand-tailored womenswear using heritage materials such as Harris Tweed, Scottish lace and antique fabrics. British Vogue has named her a designer to watch, and her clothes have been worn by Annie Lennox, Emeli Sande, Freya Ridings, KT Tunstall and Courtney Love. Her awards include Designer of the Year at the Scottish Style Awards and the JOLOMO and PSYBT Award.

The Celebrity Traitors launched on BBC One and iPlayer on 1 October, and Claudia's outfits regularly generate fashion coverage and demand, which makes this a valuable spotlight for an independent Scottish label.

Collections, including the pieces seen on screen, can be ordered through the Judy R. Clark website.
